Danish Hotel group DKBS are following a pioneering action learning based programme delivered by our partner Mike Hohnen. The GROW programme is proving very successful and a core aspect is the accreditation at undergraduate/professional certificate level following the Action Learing Question approach. Participants have started their second of three modules and Mike Hohnen reporting on the feedback from the client has noted how the professional approach taken by participants from the programme is now clearly visible to the senior directors in the organisation. The programme is accredited by the University of Chester.
We recently saw the first group of students graduate on the Masters programme launched in 2004 with Lloyds TSB Asset Finance Division.
The programme, a Masters in Leadership and Management, is a work based action learning programme, which was driven by the agenda of the organisation. Lloyds TSB Asset Finance Division, a division of Lloyds TSB, designed the development programme with us to meet a number of objectives: create a leadership talent pool; fill the management development vacuum; encourage networking; bridge the gap between learning and working; balance business need with personal need; and recognise personal achievement with external accreditation.
On 21 June, at the Second Leadership Challenges Summit hosted by HTI, we introduced action learning principles and practices to an audience from the education and business world.
HTI is an independent social enterprise committed to adding value to education. In partnership with education, business and government its mission is to enhance the employability of young people by developing exceptional education leaders.
